YOUNG AND BOLD policy regarding Jay Nakamura:
_{Although we understand Jay remains a sour spot for many readers, we do not want this zine to be a place to direct disdain towards this character and his canon relationship with Jon. Due to this, we would like our contributors to refrain from depicting him in a cynical and antagonistic way. We also would like no depictions that would make him or his relationship with Jon out to be a subject of mockery. No character bashing and ship bashing, basically. Thank you!}
YOUNG AND BOLD policy regarding romance between the characters:
_{We believe that people of any age can experience romance for people of the same sex. The erasure of young LGBTQ+ members is extremely damaging to people who were “born different”. LGBTQ+ youth exists, many youths realized they weren’t heterosexual very early in life, to say because a person or character is below 18, therefore cannot and should not express homosexual feelings is not something we support.}
However, when depicting Jon and Damian in a relationship, we would like our contributor to age Jon up to at least 12 years of age. Any depiction of pining and feelings can be of any age.
YOUNG AND BOLD policy regarding NSFW depictions:
_{NSFW depictions of the characters must depict them as above 18 years of age. And due to the complications of tastes, we would like pieces to not include hard kinks.}
Are ships allowed in this zine?
_{Because it has been a long time since the creation of a Jon and Damian zine, we want our contributors to depict what they feel the most comfortable. Ships are allowed but not mandatory as their relationship is meaningful and beautiful as a friendship and brotherhood, as much as it is beautiful in the way in which their romance would be.}
Are other ships, polyship and other characters allowed in this zine?
_{Each of the boys have their own set of important relationships that helped shape their characters into what we know of today. As such, appearances from other characters (Batfamily, Superfamily, Teen Titans, their classmates, etc.) as background and supporting pieces are okay, as long as the main focus remains on Jon and Damian.
Regarding other ships, we would like our contributors to be sensitive to the ships they depict as it might not be of the taste of others that will be receiving the zine. As such, ships that aren't between Jon and Damian should be minor and polyships can be mentioned but not explicitly depicted.}
What is the rating of this zine?
_{The physical book will remain strictly SFW/PG-13 with mild blood allowed. The digital book will be rated NSFW/R-18.}
How will contributors be compensated?
_{All profit will go toward covering production first, which includes a free compensation copy of the book & shipping to contributors. Should our profit allow it, we will provide all contributors with a full bundle (inclusive of shipping). Any remaining funds after production will be split equally between the mods and contributors.}
Can I post WIPs, stream, or sell my finished piece?
_{Throughout the creation phase, contributors are encouraged to share WIPs of their work (as long as it’s not the full/completed piece). We will provide preview templates for this! We ask that no more than 30% of the piece be shared, and will have preview templates available once the project gets into full swing. As for streaming, we’re okay with streaming the early sketching and planning of the piece, but ask that once lines and colour go down that it be kept under wraps!
After pre-orders and production of the project conclude, contributors will be able to post, sell and distribute their work as they see fit!}
